At the Newburg Camellia Festival, Asian performances occur throughout the day, and vendors from around the region sell food, crafts, and jewelry connected to the culture. There are fascinating demonstrations and a city tour guided by a member of the Historical Society sharing Newberg's unique and often quirky history, including its connection with the Quakers. The festival also hosts the Oregon Camellia Society’s show, a camellia bloom competition. Single flowers are judged by size, color, form, and condition. Many possible varieties and colors will be displayed throughout the day. Take home your favorite by purchasing a camellia from the plant sale; garden art and treasures will also be available.
