Day 1-2 Fly to Phoenix, Casa Grande Ruins and Queen Creek Olive Farm

Take a nonstop flight on Alaska Air to Phoenix. Travel on our bus to Queen Creek Olive Farm for a lunch break at their wonderful café. After, get educated on their OLIVE OIL 101 TOUR. Learn how they make olive oil, ways to use it in the kitchen and why it's so darn good for you! Explore Casa Grande Ruins with a narrated Ranger talk. This evening take your seat at the Gaslight Theater for an evening of comedy.

Day 3 Tombstone, Katchner Caverns

Venture back to the days of the Old West Hit the shopping district of Bisbee for unique antiques and collectibles, stop to take photographs in the well-preserved 1902 Copper Queen Hotel, and take in the sights of Tombstone, home to legends like Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday. Belly up to the Bar at Big Nose Kate's Saloon and experience the excitement at the gunfight reenactment at the OK Corral! Finish off the day underground at Katchner Caverns on a Ranger-led tour. This massive limestone cavern was discovered in 1974 but kept a secret. It has one of the world's longest soda straw stalactites. (B)

 Day 4 Desert Botanical Garden, Gaslight Theater and San Xavier del Bac Mission

Our first stop will be at the Mission at San Xavier del Bac where you will see the detail and wonderful architecture of the church, built 100's of years ago. Continue to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, it will turn your idea of a museum inside out. It is an unforgettable fusion zoo, botanical garden and natural history museum. Highlights include the Hummingbird Aviary, Warden Aquarium and Earth Sciences Center where guests descend into a replica limestone cave. There are live animal presentations that showcase a variety of desert animals For native flora and fauna, there’s no better place for spectacular photos. (B,L)

Day 5 Quartzsite Winter Market , Shield’s Date Farm and Wagon Ride Dinner Show

As the winter months unfurl, the desert town of Quartzsite, transforms into a bustling hub of outdoor markets. Arrive early and explore the maze of stalls and vibrant atmosphere of this seasonal market scene. They began as a way for early settlers to trade and auction goods. Today, they are a hub for collectors and history enthusiasts and offer interesting conversation and people watching. Continue to Shield’s Date Farm, where we will host one of their famous Date Shakes. Check into our hotel before experiencing a desert adventure like our pioneer ancestors did, on a mule-drawn Covered Wagon! Explore the rugged canyon landscapes of the San Andreas Fault. Finish with a BBQ and live music under the moon and stars. (B,D)

Day 6 Return Flight Home

Check out after breakfast and head to Ontario for our early afternoon flight back to Sea-Tac, landing at 3:00pm. (B)
